In 1996, a certificate of appreciation is awarded to Mr. Zhao Lizhi for his devotion and enthusiastic service to the Expo Park in Korea.
In 1996, two acts, Walking in the Air and Magic Clock won the Silver Medal in the first Gree National Magic Competition which was held in Zhuhai, Hainan.
Walking in the Air and Magic Clock won the first place for creativity in the 1997 Shanghai International Magic Festival and the first Shanghai International Magic Competition.
In 1997, we won an award in the ICBC Magic Competition.
In September of 1998, the Aerial Ballet, presented by 11 year old Miss Gao Shengsheng, won the Silver Lion in the third National Acrobatic Competition.
New Shanghai Circus was recognized as the first Chinese Acrobatic Troupe to appear on the Broadway from April 29 to May 23 in 1999.
In 1999, the Incredible! Acrobats of China presented by the New Shanghai Circus was elected as the Best Show of the Year in Branson.
In 1999, the New Shanghai Circus was nominated for the "Best News of the Year".
The New Shanghai Circus was awarded by the New Victory Theater in recognition of its accomplishment as the First Ever Total Sold-Out performance on Broadway in 1999.
In 1999, the New Shanghai Circus was awarded for "Best Foreign Production on Broadway" for its spectacular performance from April 29 to May 23.
In 1999, the New Shanghai Circus was awarded the Branson Peace Award for sharing in America's vision by promoting world peace through cultural arts.
Walking in the Air and Magic Clock won the first place for creativity in the 1997 Shanghai International Magic Festival and the first Shanghai International Magic Competition.
In 1999, we received a key from Mayor of City of Rockaway Beach, Missouri. Key from the mayor is the highest local honor.
In October 2001, Director to the New Shanghai Circus was awarded a membership by the Chinese Acrobatic Association for his Excellence both in moral character and artistic contribution. This membership is the highest honor for someone in an artistic field in China.
On September 19, 2002, Mr. Zhao, Lizhi received an honorary degree from William Woods University, Fulton, Missouri.
On May 17, the city of St. Louis, Missouri honored him when the Mayor of St. Louis awarded him with the prestigious title "A Friend to St. Louis".
