Xu Jun

At 26, Mr. Xu, Jun is the oldest solo performer in the troupe. Unlike many of the acrobats Mr. Xu got a late start in his training; He began to study gymnastics at the age of 11 as a way to slim down and began training with the troupe at the age of 17. Because of his height and incredible strength, Mr. Zhao and the coaches of the academy suggested that Xu, Jun be trained to become a Bench Balance Master Acrobat.

Not only does he continue to strive to add more weight to the over 250 pounds sawhorses he balances on his head, but he has also added an even more difficult act, the Pagoda of Bowls. This moving performance combines strength and dance skills. Mr. Xu has trained several partners for this exquisite act.

Since first performing with the New Shanghai Circus, Xu, Jun has traveled extensively through Asia, Europe and the United States and has received a standing ovation at every performance during his performance on Broadway. Mr. Xu enjoys his time in Branson. He is one of the few acrobats with an American driver's license so he gets to take the girls shopping often. His interests are watching American movies to study English and working on the Internet.
